Children’s Classes

It is never too early to start teaching your child the importance of daily exercise. These fun classes will get your little ones moving and excited about physical activity. Classes include:

Swimming Classes – Great Lakes Athletic Club has partnered with Swim101.  Swim 101 was created out of a love for swimming, a passion for teaching and a desire to make a difference. Centered upon the beliefs and combined knowledge of founders, Brad Robinson and Paul Howard, Swim 101 is unlike your ordinary swim school. Their unique approach starts with considering the needs of each individual student and is designed to make the learn-to-swim process a comfortable and exciting one. With every new milestone, they focus on working to unlock your child’s independence and improve their skills in the water. Swim101’s team of coaches and instructors whose enthusiasm, training and experience make every single lesson an enjoyable one. If you would like to speak to one of the Swim101 team members, you can email at [email protected], call 248-572-6900 or follow them on Facebook.

Individual Basketball Training – If you have a child who is dedicated to the sport and looking to improve their skills treat them to a one-on-one session with Jake Shockey, former Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and Aquinas College player. These sessions will focus on individual skills training and leadership for players of all levels.

Kid’s Karate – This class is designed to introduce children ages 5 to 7 to the fun and discipline of the martial arts. With a maximum of 8 children per class, your child will get lots of individual attention for more fun and greater skill building.
