Martial arts are a terrific way to practice discipline while getting a great workout. Classes are taught by Master Floyd Soo who has been practicing martial arts since he was a young boy in the 1960s and is a 6th-degree black belt. Master Floyd Soo helped found the United State Korean Karate Association, an organization dedicated to technique, power, skill and honor. Master Floyd Soo’s classes are almost always full, so you do not want to miss these. Classes include:
Tang Soo Do – Also known as “Korean Karate”, it is similar to Japanese karate. You will learn unarmed self-defense while practicing self-discipline and honor. This class meets twice a week and is for ages 8 to adult.
Saturday Tang Soo Do – Meets every Saturday from 11:30 – 1:30pm.
Instructors Class – This class is for individuals who are already black belts, and are instructors or instructor’s assistants looking to improve.
Kid’s Karate – This class is designed to introduce children ages 5 to 7 to the fun and discipline of the martial arts. With a maximum of 8 children per class, your child will get lots of individual attention for more fun and greater skill building.
Women’s Self-Defense Seminar – This is a three-hour seminar that is offered every month by Master Floyd Soo. This class is for any woman who wants to venture into the world without feeling like a victim. It’s perfect for high-school and college students as well as young adults who are living alone. We never go looking for trouble, but it is always good to know a little self-defense.
